Here are some of the interesting links and ideas we've received:
- Most states are going along with the new Federal standard of 10 ppb for
Arsenic in drinking water, although some (New Jersey, California, and
others) will adopt tougher standards. Most evidence would indicate that
there is still a significant health risk at 10 or even 5 ppb. What will it
take to get individual homeowners aware of this, and will additional POU or
POE devices beyond the municipal level of treatment become a big market?
- Most information on arsenic has focused on the health effects of
ingestion of drinking water, and hence POU type devices might well serve as
a primary method of treatment in many circumstances. However, recent
information has also added skin absorption and inhalation as other modes of
concern. Is this really a concern, and how will it affect the treatment market?
